"Hidden Toronto" was a photography book I published in 2013. I have been documenting graffiti since 1994, and it has been an interest of mine for much longer. Illegal graffiti featured in the book is less public facing and more directed at viewers inside the culture.

Most of the places where graffiti ends up are industrial, hidden or infrastructure spaces where artists can work in peace and present their work to others in the culture. These are hidden spaces you need to trek to and the book was meant to facilitate an interest in exploring. I am working on the second iteration or Hidden Toronto in 2025.
